I'm a 24 year old ex-student not going to school somewhere on Vancouver Island. Now, people from the states might think "Oh, she's in Vancouver." If you were here, I'd learn 'ya. Anyway... I'm pretty tall at 6' something. I don't eat well (or much… or often) and don't get much sun. I don't get much sleep, and I fairly hate my current occupation. The two may be correlated.
I am a transsexual; choose whatever acronym or abbreviation you wish, it is what I am. As I walk through the process of transition I document my steps in words or pictures. Transitioning is a long process with the most noticeable changes being physical—which I will not likely show here, only write about—and mental, which should be apparent as my style of writing changes over time, or I mention specific elements of change. It is fortunate that I am patient.
All of my older work—blog entries, music, poetry, and prose—will become available over time in their respective sections. For now, please enjoy what I have made available to you, and have an open mind.
Things I have been paid for.
Occupations, jobs, careers. The following is a list of things that I have at some point made more than pennies doing:
- Software Engineer
- I've written software systems since I was 9.
- Visual/Physical Artist
- My first official business. Drawn artwork then jewelry.
- Photographer
- Wedding and portrait, dabbling in all other aspects of photography.
- Technical Support
- On-call technical support is a 25/8 job with moments of humor and moments of… jiggle the cable.
- Published Musician
- I have two CDs currently available through a number of distributors, with three more upcoming, two hopefully somewhat soon.
Areas of Knowledge
I'm constantly absorbing information, usually in a very active way. I experiment, and I'm constantly wondering how things work. From videography to biology, I know a thing or two (but usually not much more) about a wide range of subjects.
The sciences are particularly interesting, as everything is an applied science. Massage therapy, for example, is applied musculoskeletal biology.
