- A Quick Comparison

When I first purchased my PS3 I compared the costs of the box and the XBox 360. After upgrades to bring the machines to parity (equal features) they cost the same. It's been quite some time since then and I decided to do another comparison of prices. All prices listed in USD.
- Second Unlock and Rogers Data

I've successfully unlocked my second iPhone and now only have one remaining. I'll be shipping down the first to Panama on Monday or Tuesday. I also have a contract with Rogers which is pretty good.

So, I have an iPhone. Okay, that's cool, but it's limited to AT&T, right? Well, not mine. No, mine's working quite happily on Rogers, the Canadian branch of AT&T. That's right, I have one of the elusive unlocked iPhones. Unlocked by mine own hand controlling two very sharp needles.

The iPhone is cool, but only so useful. It's a phone and an iPod, despite it's nearly 1GHz processor and 8GB storage space. I need something that would allow me to SSH into my servers to manage them. I need storage encryption. I need quite a few things that are simply missing from the iPhone. On a personal note, I feel like crap.
- Okay, I've been in Panama a while…

… and things really are going well. I'm doing work I enjoy (sysadmining a 25 Mac network and a soon to be 50-phone VoIP network too), I'm getting paid well, and I'm feeling the healthiest I have in a very, very long time.
