Second Unlock and Rogers Data
I've successfully unlocked my second iPhone and now only have one remaining. I'll be shipping down the first to Panama on Monday or Tuesday. I also have a contract with Rogers which is pretty good.
The contract gives me a butt-load of minutes usable anywhere in North America without roaming charges. Additionally, there are no long-distance charges anywhere in North America. Awesome for travelling. The data addition gives me I don't know -how- much total transfer per month, but luckily I'll be using it rarely. When I head back to Panama I can turn off the data plan to save myself some money.
I plan on offering an unlock service while I'm here to those in town who happen to have an iPhone already and want it usable on Rogers. I'll probably be working with a local Rogers authorized retailer to get a handful unlocked for him to sell. I've pretty much got the process down - took less than half an hour for my second, although there was some mucking about with network settings and the SSH server. (My local network's WiFi is the pits.
